Privacy notice
Effective 6 October 2026
Market Signal is run by Assembly Digital. This notice says what we keep when you request a read or use the service, why, who helps us process it, and how to have it deleted.
What we keep
- When you request a read: your email address, and the name, role, company website, decisions and competitors you enter.
- To limit repeated requests: a keyed hash of your network address. We do not store the address itself.
- When you sign in: your name, email address and the company you belong to, through WorkOS, which handles sign-in.
- When you set up and run reads: what you enter about your company and competitors, pages you add, and the reads we produce.
- How the site is used: the pages you open, what you click and submit, your browser and rough location from your network address, and errors the page meets. When you are signed in, this is kept under your account. We do not record your screen, and we do not keep what you type into a field this way.
Why
- To review your request, and to email you about it and about your reads.
- To create your company’s account and run the reads you ask for, within the cap you agree to.
- To keep the service secure and to stop abuse.
- To see which parts of the service are used and where people get stuck, so we can improve it.
We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Vercel hosts the website, and Neon hosts the database.
- WorkOS handles sign-in, and Resend sends our emails.
- Blaxel runs the reads. OpenAI and TypeSafe (Jev) analyse the public sources and what you enter in setup, and Firecrawl reads public web pages.
- PostHog measures how the site is used.
A read is built from public pages and public discussions, quoted with their sources. It is not built from anything private to you, other than what you enter.
Cookies and browser storage
When you sign in, a session cookie keeps you signed in. Your browser remembers whether you chose the light or dark appearance. A PostHog cookie tells one visit of yours from the next, so we can count people rather than page loads. We use no advertising cookies.
Public example reads
A company’s read is shown publicly only when we pin it as an example, with that company’s agreement. It quotes public sources and links to them.
How long we keep it
We keep a request, and an approved company’s setup and reads, until you ask us to delete them or we close the service. We delete a declined request on request at any time.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to mpreuss@assemblydigital.com. We will answer within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date above, and tell people with an account by email when the change matters to them.
